Napoleon Dynamite... or Bonaparte

Bonjour,
Fontainebleau was Napoleon Bonaparte's Castle.... I must say I'm getting a little bored of looking at rocks... but this one was especially awesome and furnished!! (with a HUGE library) Luckily it was an AMAZINGLY sunny day too!!! That could have been part of the reason I loved this particular pile of rocks.... And I mean it sure did have a very very big and wonderful set of stairs!!

And as a special treat:

Mes Amies

Salut,
Life just isn't fun without friends. And how boring it would be without these three!! All of those missed crazy adventures... and those near misses with devastation... What would I do without them!!!
P.S. we are not alcoholics... Everything here is in glass bottles.

And what would we be without a theme song?!?!?!?

And that is all... typically... = )

Lots and Lots of Rocks

Bonjour,
Who doesn't love learning about all the wars, scandals and life of medieval France?? Well I got to see where it all happened this weekend down in Loire Valley!! There were moats, labyrinths, extravagant gardens, amazing views, underground passages, libraries with 3000 books, music rooms, private chapels, HUGE staircases, castles at the tops of cliffs, castles over rivers, castles with people still living in it, and castles that could house entire cities. I can only imagine how they were with all their decorations!!!
Hope you can imagine!!

P.S. Nantes isn't exactly where we stayed but its close... = ) I just love Beirut

Les Paris Moderne

Okay... So Pairs basically has this underground city with the Metro, the Sewer System and mining caves so they aren't allowed to build huge skyscrapers. But in La Défense it's a whole different story, and yet somehow it is still Parisesque. (like picturesque Paris style)

Beautiful right? I wouldn't be surprised it they did this:

salon... of agriculture

Bonjour,
Imagine a couple big big big room full of very large animals, food stands and little shops... All French... yeah. Took over 4 hours to walk around it all and no English to be found! What a day! There was birds with wings on their feet, cows bigger than my car (well close), beautiful horses, hounds, sneaky cats, roosters with Afros and bunnies that would be serious competition for Bugs Bunny.

I guess we are not so different with crazy styles... = )
